TRIPLAN AG sales jump 9% in the first nine months, EBITDA still positive in the third quarter

According to interim quarterly figures and despite the economic downturn, TRIPLAN AG, a provider of industrial services, was able to increase its sales by around 9 % to 25.3 m Euros in the first nine months of the year. In the same period the EBITDA was -0.129 m Euros (previous year 0.870 m Euros). This shows that the cost-reduction measures introduced in the first quarter are continuing to bring benefits. Consequently the third quarter showed a positive EBITDA of 0.192 m Euros against sales of 8.8 m Euros compared to the first half of 2002.

The Engineering division expanded sales (19.6 m Euros) by around 15.8% in the first nine months compared to the previous year while the IT division saw sales drop by around 10.9% to 5.6 m Euros because of the weakening IT sector. With the beneficial effects of restructuring efforts coming through balanced IT segment results were obtained in the third quarter. Several recently won orders both in the Engineering and IT divisions have helped to safeguard capacity in the coming months and will contribute to a positive business trend.
