TRIPLAN AG closes the first quarter of 2008 with a jump in sales revenue: 10,801 TEUR (previous year: 13,199 TEUR)
Sales trend not directly comparable because of a big project the previous year
EBIT rises by 83.3 percent to 1,127 TEUR (previous year: 615 TEUR)
Net income for the year after minority interest of other companies rises from 218 TEUR to 887 TEUR

TRIPLAN AG (ISIN: DE 0007499303) successfully concludes the first three months of 2008. In the first quarter of 2008 the company generated sales of 10,801 TEUR (previous: 13,199 TEUR). The drop in sales is mainly due to two factors: First, the peak work of a big engineering division project was allocated to the first quarter of 2007 and second, TRIPLAN made more sales in the technology services segment. The IT segment was however largely spun off in 2007 by the founding of a joint venture with Neilsoft Ltd.

At the results level TRIPLAN had an EBIT of 1,127 TEUR compared to 615 TEUR in the first quarter of 2007. Net income after minority interest of other companies came to 887 TEUR as at 31 March 2008 compared to 218 TEUR the previous year. This corresponds to a profit per share (diluted/undiluted) of 0.09 EUR compared to 0.02 EUR as at 31 March 2007.

Cash and cash equivalents as at 31.03.2008 came to 6,168 TEUR compared to 4,799 TEUR in the first quarter of 2007. The equity ratio of TRIPLAN AG came to 59.3 percent on the balance sheet date compared to 47.7 percent in the comparable period the previous year.

For 2008 the management board expects sales of 42.3 m EUR (approx. 4 m EUR sales were in the technology service division) and EBIT of 2.6 m EUR. Special effects from project settlement and possible M&A are not included in the sales objectives. The management board’s strategy continues to aim at consistent results.
