Ad-hoc Announcement of TRIPLAN AG pursuant to §15 Securities Trading Act

TRIPLAN Receives around DM 1.1 m from Lenzing AG

Bad Soden, 20.12.2001

TRIPLAN AG, a provider of Industrial Services traded on the SMAX, has announced that it has reached an accord with Austrian firm Lenzing AG under which the payment of around ATS 8 million has been agreed for an outstanding receivable for planning services. The amount corresponds to DM 1.137 million.

This settles the disputed claims from the period 1995 to 1997, mentioned in the sale brochure for TRIPLAN AG’s IPO. The payment is due in full in cash, and will not affect TRIPLAN AG’s profit and loss statement due to the value adjustment made in advance of the IPO.

This settlement means that there are also no further claims on TRIPLAN AG and its wholly-owned Austrian subsidiary, TRIPLAN Ingenieur Ges.m.b.H.
