TRIPLAN Reports Sales Growth of 14.6%

TRIPLAN AG has announced its interim quarterly figures as at 30.09.2001. These show an increase in sales in the first nine months of 2001 of 14.6% to EUR 22.8 m (same period previous year: EUR 19.9 m). During this period, EBITDA registered EUR 0.890 m (previous year: EUR 0.845 m) and EBIT EUR 0.249 m (previous year: EUR 0.458 m).

It is anticipated TRIPLAN’s sales growth in the second-half of 2001 will remain in single figures, thus growing slower than in the first 6 months. EBIT is affected by the results of the fourth quarter in license sales and IT services.

The cooldown in the economy has mainly affected the Technology Services division, which profited strongly from business in the fourth quarter in previous years. Important customers in this segment are postponing their investment decisions until the new year.
In reaction to this development, cost reduction measures have been introduced. Savings have been made, above all in the purchase of external services and in personnel. The IT section is being restructured in order to gain access to further potential cost reductions.

Despite the economic slowdown, the market for outsourcing will continue to grow significantly in the coming years. TRIPLAN will profit above from its stable and long-lasting customer relationships, and is able to disengage itself from the general economic situation.
