TRIPLAN Reports Sales Growth of 3%

TRIPLAN AG has announced its interim quarterly figures as at 31.03.02. These show an increase in sales in the first three months of 2002 of around 3 % to EUR 8.0 m (same period previous year: EUR 7.7 m). During this period, EBITDA registered EUR - 0.253 m (previous year: EUR 0.668 m) and EBIT of EUR - 0.680 m (previous year: EUR 0.476 m). The cost-reduction measures introduced for external services and personnel costs will only become effective from the second quarter.

The technology services division was mainly affected by the general economic weakness. The company’s investments continue to be consolidated in this division at a low level. Sales fell 5.4 % to 2.0 m EUR (previous year 2.1 m EUR). In the newest business area of shared services the projects started in the fourth quarter of 2001 were successfully continued.
Sales in the core engineering services business continued to grow by 6.2 % to 6.0 m EUR (previous year 5.6 m EUR). The reasons for this are the excellent long-term customer relationships that have contributed to the solid development of the division.
