TRIPLAN Takes Over Swiss Software Developer Venturis GmbH

TRIPLAN AG (WKN: 749 930) has taken over full control of Venturis GmbH, Ettlingen (Switzerland), with effect from 1 January 2001. TRIPLAN purchased 80% of the shares from mb Software AG, for which liquidation proceedings have been requested. At the same time, the remaining 20% of Venturis GmbH was transferred from company founder, Philipp Lutz, to TRIPLAN AG. With the acquisition of Venturis GmbH, which has had a long-term contractual relationship with TRIPLAN AG, the company has secured the permanent, exclusive global licensing and marketing rights for all products and the development capacities of Venturis GmbH.
Venturis GmbH had sales of CHF 1 million in 2000, and previous year results of CHF 250,000. The company develops software applications for the CAD/CAD MicroStation core system (Bentley Inc.).
The strong position of TRIPLAN AG in the factory and plant planning segments has been extended by this acquisition, particularly in the automotive sector. In addition, the takeover should provide access to new market segments among the supplier industry, and will see further expansion of the product spectrum with a focus on the areas of Lifecycle Data Management and Facility Management and combination of development capacities.
With this acquisition, TRIPLAN AG has established iteself further as a leader in the area of Engineering and IT Services for factory and plant planning.
