TRIPLAN AG: Ralf Heimberg new chairman of the board

The supervisory board of TRIPLAN AG, which is listed on the SMAX, has with effect from 1 October 2002 appointed Ralf Heimberg chairman of the management board and to the IT board. The former sole director, Dr Volker Schlüter, will henceforward be responsible for the Engineering division. This completed the board as planned.

Ralf Heimberg, 44, began his career as a project engineer with General Motors in Germany and in the US. After a variety of positions in the software sector in 1991 he started working for Tecnomatix GmbH as sales manager. Most recently as managing director he was responsible for all German-speaking areas and Eastern Europe.

Ralf Heimberg will head TRIPLAN IT-GmbH, which was founded on 1 October 2002 and which integrates most of the operations of TRIPLAN IT, as managing director. The goal of TRIPLAN IT-GmbH is to bundle sales and development operations and hence further consolidate the market position of TRIPLAN AG.

TRIPLAN is a leading provider of services in the area of Engineering and IT services for renowned companies in the pharmaceutical, fine chemical, biotech and automotive sectors. The Engineering Services, Technology Services and Shared Services divisions are focused on plant and factory planning. The array of services and products offered by TRIPLAN ranges from engineering through in-house developed multi-sector software applications for factory planning to web-based services for management of large quantities of data.
