Start-up: Triplan Gebäudetechnik AG, Basel
Plant and domestic engineering from a single source
Bad Soden, 29. June 2009:
Triplan Ingenieur AG in Basel – a subsidiary of Triplan AG, Bad Soden, an engineering services provider that has been working in the sector for more than 40 years – has founded Triplan Gebäudetechnik AG to expand its design services.
The background to this new business segment: As plant designers for the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnical industries, when working on their designs, the engineers at Triplan regularly come across domestic engineering disciplines. For example, someone who designs a pharmaceutical clean room must be intensively involved in ventilation issues. Previously, specialised consulting engineers were used for such designs, inevitably creating additional interfaces.
According to Dipl.-Ing. (HLK) Pierre Zardin, managing director of Triplan GT „Clients kept telling us that a design service provider that could undertake both the plant and the domestic engineering would be useful.“ We understood this clear reference and have now positioned ourselves appropriately. What made the addition to the service offer easier was the fact that the Triplan Group had been using a fully-developed design tool - the CAD/CAE software Tricad MS - for years, which covered all domestic engineering disciplines.
The focus of the new companies lies in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, cold and sanitary engineering industry projects in the context of process plants and the integral design of residential and commercial buildings:
- innovative heating, ventilation, air conditioning, cold and sanitary engineering
- energetic optimisation of technical building services plants
- Ventilation and clean room technology in the pharmaceutical industry
- Design and implementation of energy-efficient heat and cold generators with minimal use of non-renewable energy sources (free cooling, biomass co-generation plants, absorption cooling etc.)
- Industrial heating systems (waste water, hot water and steam)
- Systems for the maximum use of renewable energy sources
- Laboratory technology
- Filter and dust removal technology.
As an independent company in the Triplan Group the new company can access an internal network of more than 500 engineers, scientists and technicians at twelve sites in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
However: the still new team at Triplan Gebäudetechnik AG has already more orders than a small crew can handle. Applications from TBS specialist planners would be welcome.
